Matt Collier
Matt has over 32 years experience serving as CEO, executive positions in Business Development, Sales and Product Management at leading internet service, software and telecommunication companies. He also was founder of Telverse Communications and served as its Chairman and CEO until its acquisition by Level 3 Communications. During his career he has been instrumental in fund raising, establishing key strategic partnerships, creating and launching new collaboration and IP voice services, and leading the sales efforts to grow the distribution footprint.
Previous to UCStrategies, Matt was SVP of LifeSize Communications (subsequently sold to Logitech 2009), Matt was SVP Voice Application Services at Level 3 Communications. Prior to joining Level 3, Matt was Founder/CEO of Telverse Communications, which offered the first nationally available IP Centrex for business in North America, (subsequently acquired by Level 3). Before founding Telverse, Matt was VP Business Development & OEM Alliances at Polycom. Prior to Polycom, Matt was VP Sales and Business Development at ViaVideo, (subsequently acquired by Polycom). Matt has also held senior positions at MCI Communications (now Verizon), PictureTel, NBI and Sperry Univac.
In addition to the roles above, Matt serves as President and Director of UCI Forum, and Director at the IMTC; both organizations are non-profit technology consortia focused on resolving interoperability issues in the areas of UC and Video Collaboration solutions. He is also an individual investor in several start-ups focused on UC applications, services and products.
Matt holds a B.A. from the University of Memphis.
