Vertical Communications Releases Wave v3.0 for Android by UCStrategies Staff

Vertical Communications announced the release of its Wave v3.0 software for Android. According to officials with Vertical Communications, the Android version of Wave v3.0 is equipped with the company’s ViewPoint Mobile app.

The ViewPoint Mobile application is the communications industry’s sole enterprise mobility solution that is integrated in the form of a standard feature within the construct of a core communication system. It also expands on premise-based enterprise tools and services, including unified communications (UC), presence management, user collaboration, call recording, telephony, and other market-compatible applications from smartphones to tablets.

Vertical Communications, a provider of various business communications solutions, released the Android version (intended for devices that run versions 2.3 and above) after the launch of its ViewPoint Mobile for Apple iOS devices in May, 2012.

“Businesses are becoming more sophisticated in how they use personnel in the field. As a result, they have a growing need to ensure that mobile team members have unfettered access to all workplace communications tools,” said Peter Bailey, CEO of Vertical Communications.

Peter Bailey also went on to explain that the Android version of the Wave v3.0 software is another important phase in Vertical Communications’ ongoing attempts to deliver a flawless and well-organized communications experience to a mobile workforce environment. He declared that by way of ViewPoint Mobile, organizations and businesses, regardless of their size, can achieve and sustain high levels of efficiency and productivity throughout the different organizational channels.

Frank Stinson, a senior analyst at the New Jersey-based Intellicom Analytics, commented that the launch of the Android-compatible ViewPoint Mobile reinforces Vertical Communications’ remarkable ability to deliver powerful mobile functionality for devices used in enterprise communications.

According to Stinson, many businesses seek ways to enhance the performance and productivity of their mobile workforce. ViewPoint Mobile is strategically positioned to assist business customers to achieve their objectives. And what’s special about ViewPoint Mobile is that it can be readily implemented with negligible disruption to ongoing operations and with minimal incremental cost.

Bobby Mohanty, vice president of engineering and product management of Vertical Communications, said that the company’s customers would be impressed by the intuitive design of ViewPoint Mobile. Mohanty also described the look and feel of the ViewPoint Mobile app. He detailed that it resembles the other familiar features found on Android tablets and phones. “We expect that users will quickly appreciate the ability to use all their premise-based tools while in the field,” he said.
