UCi2i and Comstor Collaborate on Managed Video Services by UCStrategies Staff
UCi2i signed a partnership agreement to collaborate with Comstor to deliver a new range of video conferencing managed services to customers.
UCi2i, an independent video managed services provider, maintains offices in London, Hong Kong, and soon, in North America. The company claims to change the way organizations and businesses run by providing them with the essential tools that enable them to take advantage of reliable high-definition video conferencing. The video conferencing services can then be used in everyday workplace communications. In addition, UCi2i’s high-definition video network allows users to communicate regardless of location, network, or device. Video collaboration can take place without the need to put up any form of additional infrastructure at the expense of the business customer. The users also have the choice of signing up for various service plans according to their needs.
Comstor, on the other hand, is the business unit of Westcon Group. It distributes various offerings from Cisco on a global scale. Comstor’s partnership agreement with UCi2i is expected to open revenue streams based on video conferencing managed services.
The UCi2i-Comstor collaboration produces a new suite of service plans that are available off-the-shelf or customized according to client specifications. The new video conferencing managed services are tied to the Cisco TPaaS, ATP TP, TP SMB, and Partner Core Bridge Programs – which all serve as collaborative services infrastructure for Cisco TelePresence – as well as Comstor’s own collaboration club and mentor program.
Andreas Dohmen, Executive Vice President EMEA of Comstor, said that video conferencing is embraced by global businesses at an explosive rate because they see its potential for cost and efficiency savings. “UCi2i has proven its leadership in this space, allowing customers to become more productive via dynamic seamless communication. Together, we’re transforming the manner in which businesses visually and collaboratively stay connected – all whilst giving resellers access to a massive market opportunity,” Dohmen went on to say as she discussed Comstor’s collaboration with UCi2i.
“At UCi2i, our business is aimed at building strong channels and creating superior value-add through cloud based services and applications that enhance user experience, stimulate demand and increase partner margins. Our enterprise-class, managed videoconferencing-as-a-service is an affordable, scalable and universally accessible platform. As Westcon is a proven distributor of Cisco collaboration technology, this partnership makes perfect sense. Together, we’ll help Cisco partners and customers make the most of all that visual communication has to offer,” said Michael Grant, founder and group operations director of UCi2i. (KOM) Link. Link
