HP’s Just Right IT program is getting a boost, with newly announced enhancements that will help speed up channel partners’ time to revenue. Introduced in February 2013, the Just Right IT program is designed to help HP channel partners accelerate time-to-revenue by simplifying design and delivery of HP networking, server and storage solutions for SMBs. To enhance the program, HP introduced the HP NetworkIT program and HP Simply StoreIT, enabling partners and SMBs to enhance the efficiency of their operations with new solutions and offerings.

Small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs) adopting mobility and virtualization solutions generally rely on resellers to assist in the process and to reduce the complexity and cost of these solutions. With the HP Just Right IT program, resellers can find and deliver the IT solutions to meet their customers’ needs. The program provides resellers with tools to help them sell, design, and deliver HP solutions.

As part of the Just Right IT program, the NetworkIT program provides guides and blueprints to help partners target and assess specific SMB customer challenges, including business-grade wireless networks, unified communications and collaboration, and secure, unified access and infrastructure. Tools offered to partners include cobranded lead-generation assets, training, guides and materials to increase sales opportunities and improve the time to revenue.  

Another enhancement to the Just Right IT program is HP Simply StoreIT, focusing on storage-specific areas such as server virtualization, file sharing and messaging. The program includes training tools such as visual aids, technical briefs, and templates designed to help optimize and deliver solutions.

Also included in the HP Just Right IT program are the HP Secure Access and Continuity Solutions, providing security and continuity features to keep data secure, and the HP Small Business Solutions, which are networking, server, and storage bundles for supporting vital IT and business functions.

SMBs generally don’t have the internal resources to handle their networking and UC needs, relying on trusted resellers to help them find, deliver, and implement the right IT solution. The new enhancements to the Just Right IT program should help HP’s channel partners better serve their SMB customers.

It is interesting that HP is pushing to expand into the telecom/UC space. The challenge will be to build/expand their channel capabilities and understanding of telephony environments in order to sell, configure and support the telecom oriented applications from ShoreTel and Mitel.

As a tech-dependent SMB or micro-enterprise as we prefer to be called at FOX GROUP, we haven't seen many VARs that can actually design, install and support the types of solutions that HP is bringing to market.

We are confident though, that HP will help educate and build their channel telecom capabilities which will enable more SMBs to have these types of enterprise class solutions.
