HP, AMD Partner to Boost Channel SMB Laptop Sales by UCStrategies Staff
To bolster their channel sales of laptops to SMBs, Hewlett-Packard Co. and AMD have partnered to help resellers increase their sales of HP ProBook devices. HP and AMD will be providing resellers with a variety of marketing tools, such as an extended warranty package and sales guides.
Under the new team-up between the two vendors, SMBs buying certain HP ProBook devices receive an extra two-year warranty – and this is on top of the standard 12-month term that is usually offered with every sale of the laptop model. In addition, HP partners targeting SMBs will be given co-marketing materials, comprehensive product information concerning the AMD technology powering the various ProBook devices, demos, and sales guides. VARs will be provided with technical sales support by a dedicated call center.
The HP ProBook models covered by the new offer include the ProBook 255 G1, 455 G1, and 6475b, which are all powered by AMD chips from either the A-Series or E-Series of APUs. The promotional offer will last until the end of October.
“Our partners are looking for greater choice when selling to their customers,” said Grant Thomas, UK SBSO country manager at HP. “AMD’s latest range of APUs allows our partners to differentiate themselves from their competitors.”
“AMD is entering into some exciting collaborations with our technology partners at the moment which is testament to the quality of the technology we have developed,” said James Blackman, UK channel manager for AMD. “Our engineers have worked hard to create a series of APUs with outstanding processor performance that deliver a richer experience to the end user.” (KOM) Link.
