Empirix Inc. has announced the launch of a new video assurance solution for the Empirix Converged Assurance Platform, which provides quality of service, quality of experience, and control plane analyses in a single platform. The new video monitoring capabilities are integrated with capabilities for assuring voice and data services, and provides operators with enhanced visibility into the experience of customers and an understanding of the effect video services have on network performance.
The Empirix E-XMS network monitoring solution and its related probes monitor network traffic and provide a real-time analysis of video quality metrics, before correlating quality of experience, service, and control plane data into a single, integrated view. It can be deployed for video quality monitoring, or for a complete end-to-end analysis, and offers an active monitoring solution that assesses video quality and how it affects network performance.
The Empirix E-XMS uses the Empirix Hammer IP to generate video traffic and direct it through the network along a subscribed path before ending it at an end-point simulator and analyzing it. With its approach, Empirix can provide visibility to speed up issue resolution and providing customers with the best experience possible.
