BluePoint Data Acquisition Strengthens Pomeroy's Cloud Services by UCStrategies Staff
Boca Raton, Florida-based BluePoint Data, a cloud-based MSP, has been bought by Pomeroy for an unstated price, the latter revealed last week.
As a result of Pomeroy's portfolio, the number of devices which are managed and monitored are thusly anticipated to double. Furthermore, managed cloud service offerings are expected to be strengthened due to the move, according to the president and CEO of Hebron, Kentucky-based Pomeroy, Chris Froman.
He stated: “[This acquisition] broadens the spectrum of managed IT services that deliver value to our clients. We are excited to bring to market the innovative solutions that BluePoint Data has developed.”
A suite of managed cloud services was released earlier this year by Pomeroy; these services were the company's first measured self-service provisions to its clients in the midmarket and enterprise.
Pomeroy is currently ranked at no. 43 in this year's Solution Provider 500, and it is expected that they will offer customers with a varied selection of Pomeroy's RMM tool or BluePoint's Monitor of Monitors platform with BluePoint's SkyNOC service.
The SkyView business process monitoring dashboard which runs under BluePoint is also expected to integrate to Pomeroy, and will offer real-time visibility into their IT performance to end-users.
Additionally, Pomeroy will be offered its second 24x7 NOC to serve customers via BluePoint.
The president, CEO and executive chairman of BluePoint, Paul Sachse, said in a statement: “Joining forces with a leading organization like Pomeroy will enable us to offer clients and prospects a broader set of proven solutions and capabilities.” (CY) Link
