Azaleos Releases Next Generation of Managed Hybrid Service by Robbie Pleasant

Azaleos Corporation has recently announced the release of the second generation of Azaleos Managed Hybrid Service. With it, organizations can deploy and maintain centralized control over its unified communications capabilities, as well as monitor, manage, and receive reports across on-premise systems and the Microsoft Office 365 cloud service.

By allowing organizations to provision private cloud, on-premise, or Office 365 unified communication services, MHS can allow users and companies to control their accessibility while addressing concerns they may have about keeping critical data inside the firewall. It also handles issues involving complex set-up and configuration by designing it with a simple transition to mixed private cloud and public cloud-based UC environments. Furthermore, there's a single sign-on feature, saving users the hassle of signing on to the same account at multiple points.

Azaleos's existing Managed Active Director Service and Azaleos Professional Services offering will be extended as well. The AD service now includes ADFS 2.0 monitoring and management, while the new Office 365 Readiness and Configuration service has a complete assessment and checklist of required systems and architecture for Office 365, as well as set-up and deployment of the required technology.

"When Microsoft announced Office 365 to provide cloud-based, subscription-based Unified Communications based on Lync 2010, Exchange 2010 and SharePoint 2010, they also announced this new service will interoperate with on-premise, private cloud licensed versions of those same products," says Marty Parker, co-founder of UCStrategies and Principal Consultant at UniComm Consulting. "This opens up new configuration and support options for businesses of all sizes, such as retaining the support for high-risk or compliance-centric jobs in their private cloud while supporting field employees and supply chain partners via Office 365. This new Managed Hosted Service (MHS) from Azaleos provides the expertise and services to implement that hybrid approach so that businesses can move with reasonable speed to optimize business processes, IT practices, and cost of ownership."

Azaleos Managed Hybrid Services are available from Azaleos and its business partners now, with prices starting at $10 per user/month and varying depending on the type of user mix.
