AT&T Releases New Collaborate Solution by Robbie Pleasant
AT&T has just released a new solution designed to help make businesses more productive and mobile. The new solution, AT&T Collaborate, provides cloud-based hosted voice and collaboration services, aimed at improving efficiency and productivity, with a wide range of tools for users.
There are a number of voice and collaboration tools available in AT&T Collaborate, including audio/video/web conferencing, IM, presence, and content sharing. While it doesn’t allow for a mixing-and-matching of tools and capabilities, it does offer three different sets of features to provide options for users.
The first option, AT&T Collaborate-Enhanced Voice, provides voice features such as alternate numbers, selective call acceptance, and instant voice calls, to name a few. The second, AT&T Collaborate-Unified Communications provides conferencing features, along with tools like instant messaging, desktop sharing, and employee presence. Thirdly, there’s the AT&T Collaborate-Contact Center, which offers agent and supervisor call center features, along with web client services.
All of the above also come with access to an administrator portal, which lets managers add new users, update features, and use controls for handling calls and conferences or assign devices.
Additionally all users receive a basic voice seat and a mobile client for smartphones and tablets. No matter what the package, users will receive over 30 calling features, and voice and collaboration services designed for integration with third-party applications.
According to Blair Pleasant, co-founder of UCStrategies, “It’s important for companies like AT&T to offer compelling cloud voice and collaboration services to customers who can use it as a voice-only product or as a full business communication service with collaboration and contact center capabilities. While pricing hasn’t yet been announced, I expect this service to be competitive, providing another alternative to customers.”
She adds, “AT&T notes that Collaborate focuses on integration to enable customers to integrate AT&T Collaborate with premises-based solutions like Microsoft Skype for Business, which is key in today’s mixed environment.”
AT&T Collaborate will be made available to certain business segments at the end of April, with more made available throughout 2016. For more information, visit www.att.com.
