AT&T Enhances and Mobilizes VPN Bundle for SMBs by UCStrategies Staff
AT&T announces that it is now offering an expanded virtual private network (VPN) bundle that allows its small and medium-sized business customers to link up to 100 mobile devices with remote access and global Wi-Fi connection. The bundle also includes security services and VoIP calling options.
“The need to mobilize business has never been more important,” said S. Dale McHenry, vice president of Enterprise Networks at AT&T. “We are pairing our expertise in mobility and virtual private networking to deliver a truly game-changing combination of features and services to our customers.”
According to AT&T, the new service will help the company’s business customers connect to the workplace across any device and regardless of their location. The expanded VPN bundle will come with mobile remote access that enables users to connect through their laptops, smartphones, and tablets, thus extending the range of VPN connection to mobile devices. The worldwide remote access is made possible by AT&T’s global network client.
AT&T claims that the new VPN bundle will deliver consistently high bandwidth connections to minimize wait time and enhance productivity. The remote access is also secure so that company data and communications are kept private.
The expanded VPN bundle’s availability expires on October 31, 2013. Mobile remote access is free during the promotional period. Regular service charge is $25 per month for every corporate responsibility user. (KOM) Link. Link.
