Applaud Services, a managed IT service desk vendor, announced its partnership with ShoreTel, a unified communications (UC) solutions provider. The two companies are set to offer their clients with IP and business communications infrastructure.
Applaud Services spent 18 months reviewing and considering ShoreTel as a potential partner. Applaud based its decision on ShoreTel’s extensive and well-regarded product suite.
With this partnership, ShoreTel will enable Applaud Services to provide its private and public sector customers with flexible UC solutions that can scale from 20 to 20,000 users in one platform. Applaud’s customers can now also remotely monitor and manage their ShoreTel IP and business communications infrastructure via Applaud’s cloud offering.
Applaud Services will deploy the ShoreTel system internally for the company’s own telephony and contact center requirements. And by signing on as a partner of ShoreTel, Applaud Services becomes a part of the ShoreTel Champion Partner Program. The said program allows for access to training and certification, marketing support, and sales incentive drives.
ShoreTel, as a UC vendor, has a product portfolio that touches on instant messaging, VoIP telephony, conferencing, mobility, presence, and collaboration capabilities. Applaud, on the other hand, provides traditional and cloud-based managed services as well as professional consulting. The company specializes in designing and deploying private clouds.
Ricci Danieletto, managing director at Applaud Services, lauded ShoreTel’s IP communications products. He said that they were designed from the ground up instead of being developed by way of legacy or acquired technologies.
“In recent years, our Applaud solution consulting expertise has matured and VoIP is playing an ever increasingly important part in our clients’ integrated cloud strategy aimed at improving overall business efficiency,” Danieletto said. “At the same time, our managed services delivery model is also inheriting an increasing amount of VoIP responsibility from clients who either want to refresh and upgrade existing infrastructure or forge new applications through an integrated unified communications platform.”

In January 2013, the two companies will stage a road show for their end users located in Melbourne and Sydney. The road show is dubbed “Enabling Unified Communications and Mobility in the Enterprise.” The event is part of Applaud and ShoreTel’s future marketing plans. (KOM) Link
