The Annual InformationWeek Survey on the State of UC by Michael F. Finneran

InformationWeek is once again conducting its annual survey on the State of Unified Communications; you can see the results of the 2013 survey here. We have been running these surveys for several years, which gives us the opportunity to trend the data, see which vendors are considered strongest in each of the key areas, and derive a better understand what parts of UC are catching on and what parts are not. Last year we found that 38% of respondents had deployed UC (up from 36% the year before), while 32% had no plans to deploy at all. Interestingly, of those who had deployed UC, 48% were serving 25% or fewer of their users.

I do the bulk of the writing, but I also call on the UCStrategies experts to get their analyses of the data. I’ll also be reaching out to the larger community as well so we should have a multifaceted view of the UC ecosystem. The full report will be out in May, but you can look for the preliminary results here on UCStrategies in the next few weeks. Also, for those of you who will be attending the UC Summit at the end of this month, I plan to have a presentation that includes some of the key findings.

The survey should only take about 10-minutes, so click here to get started.
