Lisa Pierce
Lisa Pierce is the founder and President of Strategic Networks Group (www.strategicnw.com), a consultancy dedicated to improving the quality of emerging telecommunications and IT services, and the service experience, that business customers receive from key suppliers.
From a network technology perspective, Lisa’s work focuses on SIP Trunking services, Unified Communications (particularly hosted UC, collaboration and FMC services), broadband access, 3G and 4G wireless services, managed network services, switched Ethernet service (VPLS) and MPLS services.
Lisa was the Vice President of Telecommunications Services Research at Forrester Research/Giga Information Group for over ten years. In addition to many enterprise users, clients included all the major telecommunications and IT suppliers. Prior experience includes emerging telecommunications protocol consulting and training for a boutique consultancy. Lisa’s telecommunications career began at AT&T, where her work focused on new classes of business services -- product development, product management, new services market research, statistical modeling and forecasting.
A member of the IEEE, Ms. Pierce is a frequent industry speaker and media commentator, and periodically contributes to the work of the Metro Ethernet Forum, DM Radio and VoiceCon/NoJitter. She is also a regular contributor to UCStrategies. Lisa holds an MBA in marketing and statistical modeling from Willamette University, and a B.A. with Honors from Gordon College.
