UC Services Provider, Sentri, Picked Up By Polycom by UCStrategies Staff

The acquisition of the UC, cloud services and video collaboration services provider, Sentri, Inc. was announced today. Polycom, Inc., a UC services provider, will be making the acquisition. Sentri is a Microsoft Gold Certified partner and operates within Office365, SharePoint and Microsoft Lync technologies. 

The Microsoft Lync expertise of the Sentri team is a main component of the forthcoming acquisition, according to Polycom's announcement. This specialist knowledge will enable the Polycom provision of more advanced design, consulting, deployment and maintenance services for customers’ intricate networks.

Additionally, a “Services Center of Excellence” program will also be established and the North American partners of the company will be able to access the expertise of the Sentri team. Included in this program is certification and training programs, and the program itself will be launched in the latter half of 2013.

The President of Products and Services at Polycom, Sudhakar Ramakrishna, said: “Sentri provides Polycom and our partners with needed advanced services capabilities to consult, design and implement UC&C solutions, and Sentri’s expertise in providing specific Microsoft Lync services is a key skill-set as Lync adoption continues to increase.”

It is expected that the acquisition will close at the end of the first quarter of this year. Leadership at Sentri are now reporting to the Senior Vice President of Polycom Global Services, Navin Mehta, and NorAm sales leaders. The existing customer based will continue to be supported. (CY) Link
