A new global partner program has been unveiled by Palo Alto, California-based Accellion, Inc. The company focuses on enterprise-class, secure mobile file sharing, and the new program is intended to appeal to partners who are interested in secure mobility solutions.

The Senior Vice President of Sales at Accellion, Gary Rogers, said: “Our product runs in the cloud as well as on premise. We have more than 1,700 clients worldwide, mostly focused among state and federal government agencies as well as very large corporations. Plus we've been experiencing substantial growth.”

According to Rogers, the increased use of tablets is one of the main reasons for the company’s product. He states: “Many enterprises are looking for effective ways to integrate tablets into their IT platforms and into their policies. They want to enable their workers to use them, but at the same time they also want to make sure that the proper IT controls and security policies are in place. So we are looking for channel partners who are interested in the delivery of comprehensive, highly secure mobility solutions that include encrypted file transfer.”

There is a traditional three-tier model upon which the program is based, and this includes discount levels scaling based on volume brands. Partners on the entry-level Silver designation can register deals, close sales and fulfill orders, but will not be able to provide customer support. These benefits are included in the Gold level, but partner-delivered customer support is also provided, as is the choice to take part in marketing programs and software evaluation licenses.

Higher discounts are available to Platinum partners, and a greater level of revenue performance will be achieved this way also. Channel partners not reselling Accellion products, but wanting to receive commissions based on an agency model, will also have the option to choose a referral partnership.

Annual subscription licenses allow for the payment of recurring commissions. Available online are pre- and post-sales support, and phone, email and WebEx sales are also offered. A range of marketing materials such as customizable presentations, case studies, videos, white papers, co-branded marketing events, a leads distribution program, sales/ technical training programs and not-for-resale (NFR) licenses are some of the other advantages to partners.

Accellion has begun its recruiting process, and the current partner list includes Accuvant, Carahsoft, Forsythe, Dimension Data, Escalade IT, Insight, Sayers, SBS Security, SDG, SHI, Softchoice and Vinitech. (CY) Link
