It has been announced that since October of last year, Box, the cloud storage provider, has signed 50 new channel partners. The company continues to look for much larger market share for enterprise sales.

The vice president of channel sales at Box, Chris Penner, stated that the cloud storage vendor is actively seeking to recruit more partners: “We are on a growth trajectory and going after market share in a big way, and we are leveraging our channel program to do so.”

According to Penner, the company has also engaged in a North American distribution relationship with Ingram Micro. CDW, Ahead, Insight, Forsythe and SoftChoice are other distribution partners.

Since July 2012, $125 million has been received by Box in venture funding, and during the entirety of last year, the company experienced a 150 percent sales increase. Specific financial figures were not given and are privately held by the company.

Last September a global content-sharing network was launched by Box. The network sought to aide enterprises in transferring information at a much faster rate.

Additionally, recurring revenue terms, training, market development, funding and deal registration are all provided by the Box channel program, according to Penner.

Partners are able to choose the specific type of relationship they would prefer to have with Box; this could mean the selection of referring leads to Box in order to gain a commission for the first-year contract, or generating revenue for the life of an account through reselling Box.

Furthermore, news of the Box Partner Network was announced by the cloud storage vendor; the company can manage relations with its channel, strategic and technology alliance and platform partners.

Box also unveiled new software integration partnerships as part of the new network, and this includes Autodesk, AtTask, Fonality, Marketo, CollabNet, Clarizen, TIBCO, Tidemark and Xero.

Custom apps are being built by over 17,000 developers, and they are also integrating with the Box platform. (CY) Link
