Navigis Integration Complete: ServiceNow Growth Expected by UCStrategies Staff

It is expected that Cloud Sherpas will announce the completion of its Navigis integration, at some point this week. It is expected that the ServiceNow business will experience growth because of the acquisition of Navigis in December last year.

Navigis is an established IT service management company and partners with ServiceNow, which is a cloud-based software and service company. Many anticipate that the Atlanta, Georgia-based Cloud Sherpas purchase will broaden the reach of the its brokerage’s 2013 ServiceNow business volumes.

The senior vice president of marketing at Cloud Sherpas, Michael Cohn, said: “We are an intermediary between the cloud vendors and the customers. We provide cloud strategy, helping customers figure out how to use the cloud. We also do actual implementations and resell software, so we're on the hook for providing support and management for software as a service and platform as a service. We can do customize development on those platforms, as well.”

Google and Salesforce.com both have existing alliances with Cloud Sherpas, and the Navigis purchase means that over 300 ServiceNow customers, such as Juniper Networks, Equinix, REI, Synaptics, Sephora and Gymboree, are all supported by Cloud Sherpas.

The vice president of operations for the Cloud Sherpas ServiceNow business unit, Jason Wojahn, said: “Our business has been doubling year-over-year, and we're on a path to double our headcount again and increase our business about 150 percent in 2013. ServiceNow is both a SaaS play and a PaaS play. They first developed a platform that was tailored to the IT service management environment. The platform itself is extremely good at forms-based automation, workflow management and workflow automation. It's a very rich platform that enables people to move forward more quickly and have more access to the technology. You don't need a masters' level knowledge of development, databases or otherwise to be able to use it.”

Cloud Sherpas is seeking to pay more attention to expanding globally for worldwide coverage and support, and this is part of its overall strategy. At present, the company has operations in Dubai, the Philippines and Singapore. (CY) Link
