Motorola MSP Acquired by AirWatch by UCStrategies Staff
Airwatch has announced the acquisition of Motorola Solutions’ MSP (Mobility Services Platform) business; the acquisition details remain uncertain.
The importance of enterprise mobility management for customers is highlighted by both AirWatch and Motorola Solutions MSP. This is the case particularly with regard to customers that work to aid a growing number of mobile computing devices and operating systems.
Furthermore, AirWatch is dedicated to the offering of compelling management solutions for customers of Motorola’s industry-leading portfolio of enterprise mobile computing devices.
Motorola’s MSP has been able to support customers for a long time with regard to provisioning, staging and managing their enterprise mobile computers. Airwatch’s ease of use across multiple device and OS types can be merged with MSP’s depth of features and functionality due to the MSP product line.
The senior vice president of enterprise solutions and Motorola Solutions, Girish Rishi, said: “With MSP, AirWatch gets a fully featured product line for enterprise mobile computers and a talented team with tremendous domain expertise. AirWatch will provide size, scalability and significant investment in this space, which will benefit our MSP customers. Motorola Solutions and AirWatch will collaborate to ensure that the product support transition is seamless.”
The same standard of service will be offered to Motorola Solutions’ existing MSP customers from the company. The MSP product line will be developed by AirWatch on an ongoing basis and the company will create plans to involve leading MSP features in the AirWatch EMM platform.
