Jabra Unveils Unified Communications Solution by UCStrategies Staff

Jabra has recently announced a new Unified Communications (UC) solution with its hands-free audio solutions.

The company outlines four stages in the consideration of its Unified Communications process. These are: recognition, scoping, decision and implementation, and they enable the discovery of the most appropriate solution for both the company and customer.

Jabra works with companies to build and test the best UC solution which works optimally for users. The company is running a piloting procedure through which specific users are able to try out particular products. With its Strategic Alliance partners, Jabra develops integrated solutions which are guaranteed to work with all UC solutions.

The Mass Deployment solution from Jabra enables 100 percent of mass deployment and configuration of software and/or individual settings from a central deployment solution to any number of Jabra USB devices in a network. This is made possible with a new generation of Jabra USB headsets which is based on software, i.e. no manual buttons or switches.

The company hopes that by adopting the new hands-free device, it will be easier for users to become more familiar with the new UC solution. As there is no interruption to the workflow and high audio quality, Jabra is able to drive efficiency and positive audio experiences, which results in greater ROI. (CY) Link

UC end users don't always require "hands-free" audio, but as users become more mobile, and smartphones, tablets and laptops replace desktop PCs, the need for USB headsets will obviously increase. However, BYOD considerations will tie the choice of headset solution to the end user's personal choice of mobile/portable endpoint device and mobile communication needs.
