Enterprise BYOD initiatives can be aided through F5 Mobile App Manager which is a mix of cloud solutions for mobile application management. It has been created by F5 Networks and allows enterprises to broaden corporate applications and data to the personal mobile devices of employees whilst at the same time allowing device owners to maintain control of their own content.

Policy management and secure application delivery are featured in the BIG-IP Access Policy Manager (APM) and are both scalable and affordable in the SaaS provision. It securely links enterprise networks with corporate applications, and for that reason is different from “BYOD 1.0” MDM solutions. Additionally, instead of managing the whole device, it only organizes enterprise content and applications.

As users are keen to place both personal and business data on one device (whilst still separating the two), the method can keep personal and corporate data separate and allows the use of devices for different work and personal use. F5 Mobile App Manager helps IT organizations to control access to their network, track inventory, protect corporate data and monitor threats and weaknesses.

For those companies who have not yet adapted to BYOD, the F5 Mobile App Manager presents a unique opportunity, and allows them to distribute and manage another solution in their own data centers. F5 Mobile App Manager provides a safe, flexible and less expensive option which is less intrusive and restrictive for employees.

F5’s unified access solutions are supported by the F5 Mobile App Manager, and provides secure and speedy access remotely. Enterprise footprints of organizations can also be protected. F5 Mobile App Manager is available on Apple iOS and Google Android devices, and can be safely downloaded. Device management and policy enforcement can be made easy, and IT can control individual or a group of devices.

F5 Mobile App Manager can support enterprise customers, channel partners and carrier service providers (CSPs), and can be added to BIG-IP-APM deployments with no need for infrastructure changes or installation on-site. F5 Mobile App Manager can also be sold again as a value-added enterprise managed service. (CY) Link
