Esna Releases Cloudlink 2.0 by Robbie Pleasant

Esna Technologies has announced that version 2.0 of its Cloudlink software has been made available to the general public. Esnatech Cloudlink uses Cisco collaboration solutions and cloud-based productivity applications, including enhanced features designed to improve collaboration.

Included in Cloudlink version 2.0 are collaboration features such as click-to-dial, which lets users make calls by clicking on phone numbers from their computers, and presence, allowing them to see if colleagues are available. It leverages standards-based SIP and Cisco's Jabber SDK, running in a virtualized environment. It's also designed to integrate with Cisco's collaboration products, and supports VMware Vsphere 4.x and above.

Also included in its core capabilities are unified messaging, fax, and security controls. Its installation and administration is managed through configuration wizards, allowing for an easy setup and management.

According to Blair Pleasant of UCStrategies, “More and more organizations are turning to cloud based productivity solutions such as Google Apps, VMware Zimbra, and Salesforce.com By integrating Cisco collaboration solutions with these cloud-based applications, in addition to premise-based solutions like Lotus Notes, Esna helps Cisco customers enhance their collaboration capabilities. This provides value to both Cisco and its customers.”
