Drum Announces Substantial Audio Quality Upgrade by UCStrategies

Drum announced that it has significantly upgraded its audio to super-HD quality. It has boosted the audio by 40 kHz, which pushes the quality well above that of an audio CD or a phone call made over a telephone network, thereby significantly improving the experience for meeting attendees. This new super-HD audio quality will now complement the browser audio and video available within Drum. What’s more, the audio quality also carries through to the meeting replays. Each viewer of the meeting replay can experience the meeting in super HD.

The new audio quality is available to all users, including instant meetings created on the Drum website, users using the Slack integration, as well as those on all plans with Drum Meetings.

Don’t believe us? Here is a before and after of Drum’s audio quality:

“We want to continue the evolution of Drum to meet a growing demand for web meetings within the browser. The latest audio development signifies our commitment to providing a life-like meeting experience within the web. Every meeting should feel like you are in the same room as one another,” said John Logsdon, CEO and founder of Drum.

Drum provides a 28-day free trial for each of its two paid tiers: Standard and Pro. Alternatively, there is also a freemium model available for all users. To sign up, all you need is an email address.

In 2016, Drum launched its web meeting dashboard, enabling organisations - small or large - to meet online and manage their meetings and teams. Drum Meetings retains HTML5, CSS3 and WebRTC to operate solely within the browser to remove the need for product downloads. In addition, the Drum meeting API remains available for developers and organisations looking to create their own web-meeting solution for internal or resale purposes.
