Cloud Monitoring MetricsHub to be Acquired by Microsoft
Cloud Monitoring MetricsHub to be Acquired by Microsoft by UCStrategies Staff
The startup MetricsHub is set to be acquired by Microsoft; cloud-performance management is monitored and automated by the former.
The Microsoft corporate vice president of strategy and business development for Windows Azure marketing, Bob Kelly, said that the tools of MetricsHub will be attached by Microsoft into its Windows Azure program.
Kelly commented that customers will be able to manage their cloud service much more efficiently and with lower costs.
He added: “Cloud solutions are compelling for a variety of reasons – scale, flexibility and value – particularly for companies looking to do more with less. However, it’s difficult to understand, monitor and correlate all the application data points that tell you how and when you need to scale your application. Then to get real value out of those data points you need to automate how your application and cloud platform intelligently respond. That’s where MetricsHub’s technology comes in.”
The Windows Azure store will make available the “prerelease, no-charge version” of the Active Cloud Monitoring tools of MetricsHub.
Additionally, MetricsHub stated that current paying customers will be changing to a particular version of the service which comes with no charge. (CY) Link
