Citrix GoToWebcast Suite Launched
Citrix GoToWebcast Suite Launched by UCStrategies Staff
It was announced recently that two new services have been unveiled by Citrix for the company’s GoToWebcast suite; this includes a new audio and video broadcasting initiative from Citrix, and will be available in Europe and in North America.
The VP and GM of SaaS Products & Markets for Citrix, Bernardo de Albergaria, said: “Audiences are becoming increasingly dispersed as a result of mobile workstyles. It’s becoming ever more important for organizations to find new and engaging ways to connect with geographically distributed audiences.”
Citrix’s GoToWebcast is a service based upon subscription, and means that users will be able to broadcast audio or video with as many as 5,000 viewers. Support for mobile devices is also available, and this includes smartphones and tablets. Citrix states that events can be set up in five steps on the GoToWebcast service, and can also be distributed via social media. Demos of the solution can be viewed on the GoToWebcast website.
Furthermore, another recent announcement said that HDFaces beta for Citrix’s GoToWebinar program will reach out to expand functionality to the 500 and 1,000 viewer subscription levels. Organizations will also be able to host more “hands-on” presentations for staff and clients. HDFaces enables people to join by turning their webcams on, and six presenters can be supported through the beta. Furthermore, presentations are made secure by a 128-bit encryption. (CY) Link
