AWS GovCloud Included in DLT Solutions’ Cloud Services by UCStrategies Staff
Amazon Web Services' Gov Cloud is being added by government VAR DLT Solutions as part of its AWS infrastructure offerings.
In AWS' East and West Regions for the past year, DLT has been a customer and has utilized the cloud service provider's services. Government services can be offered in public clouds now by using AWS GovCloud.
Through keeping track of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and fulfilling mandates, customers of AWS GovCloud can meet regulatory compliance.
The chief cloud technologist and leader of the DLT Cloud Advisory Group, David Blankenhorn, said: “DLT is a public sector reseller, so it was a natural fit to adopt AWS GovCloud.”
According to Blankenhorn, public cloud services are more often being used by federal and state government agencies, who are increasingly confident of hosting their resources through these offerings.
Blankenhorn stated: “In the last year, we've seen federal [and state] organizations dip their toes into the public cloud after seeing proof of development tests and decided to deploy workloads to the public cloud. They are interested in constituency-facing data or applications designed for citizens.”
Through various partners, Google, BMC and other private cloud services are also provided with DLT. The partner list includes Red Hat, Eucalyptus and Oracle.
DLT is a private company which does not make its fiscal records available to the public. However, last year the company noted that it had made $800 in revenue. (CY) Link
