Avaya’s Collaboration Pods portfolio is in for an upgrade, with the addition of new models for Cloud Service Providers. These new models are designed for cloud Service Providers, so that they can provide Unified Communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS), or Contact Center-as-a-Service (CCaaS) to their end customers.

The Avaya Collaboration Pods is a portfolio of turnkey communications and collaboration solutions, designed for enterprises and Cloud Service Providers. They deliver virtualized applications, as well as computing, storage, and networking. All the administrative and provisioning functions are consolidated in a single system, to make management easy, while Avaya provides integrated support for all its components.

The Collaboration Pods for Cloud Service Providers support multi-tenancy and multi-instance deployments, and aim to offer a lower TCO over multiple years than appliances or do-it-yourself approaches. With the new models, Cloud Service Providers will be able to add UCaaS and CCaaS to their offerings, providing improved collaboration and communication with customers and co-workers.

The enterprise-focused Collaboration Pod model has also been enhanced with advanced Customer Experience Management functionality. It can now support multichannel interactions through Avaya Elite Multichannel, as well as management via the Avaya Call Management System, and self-service with the Avaya Experience Portal.

"With Collaboration Pods, Avaya continues its evolution away from hardware to the cloud, which is emerging as a must-have option for delivering communications solutions,” says Jon Arnold, Principal of J Arnold & Associates and UC Expert for UCStrategies. “By offering both UC and contact center based on the XaaS model, Avaya provides new flexibility for enterprise customers to optimize their mix of hosted and premise-based applications. This is also opening up new business models for partners like CONNEX, Integration Partners and ROI Networks to extend Avaya's capabilities to their customers."

The new Avaya Collaboration Pods will be made available in the third quarter of this year. For more information, visit www.avaya.com.
