Avaya Acquires ITNavigator
Avaya Acquires ITNavigator by UCStrategies Staff
Avaya has acquired Tel Aviv-based ITNavigator, a firm that specializes in cloud-based platforms used for reporting and management. The various functionalities offered by ITNavigator will be incorporated in Avaya’s contact center and collaborative cloud suite of solutions and services. Integration with ITNavigator is also slated for Avaya’s UC products. Since both companies are held privately, the financial terms of the deal are not disclosed.
ITNavigator’s social media monitoring capabilities, for instance, will be added to Avaya products in order to assist end users in promoting their brand identities. The management platform of Avaya will be combined with that of ITNavigator. That way, end users can quickly interact with Facebook status updates and Twitter posts that mention their brands.
ITNavigator’s Social Media Gateway (SMG) can be deployed either as a standalone cloud or as a hybrid solution within the contact center. It now adds to Avaya’s social media management portfolio.
Information from CRM, billing, and other systems are also collected through ITNavigator’s technology. This allows business organizations to improve their tools used for real-time reporting and monitoring.
Before the acquisition, the Israeli firm is already the OEM provider of Avaya Contact Center Control Manager.
“IT and contact center executives and managers are in need of solutions that simplify day to day operations and enable them to quickly and easily bring on new capabilities,” said Gary E. Barnett, SVP and president of Collaboration at Avaya. “Our experience with ITNavigator – and perhaps more importantly – our customers' experience with ITNavigator, has indicated that they bring a differentiated, easy-to-use set of solutions that makes the promise of 'next generation' contact center, unified communications and cloud-based applications a reality.”
“Our relationship with Avaya has grown in mutual respect, and in recent times the boundaries between the two companies have narrowed as we drove to a common goal of simplifying sophisticated technologies,” said Arik Shtilman, vice president of Business Development and Business Unit Manager at ITNavigator.
