ADTRAN Debuts New Managed Services by UCStrategies Staff

As cloud-based models increasingly take over the enterprise, ADTRAN, Inc. joins other hardware manufacturers that branch out into offering managed services. Networking and communications equipment provider ADTRAN announces ProCloud, the first phase of the company’s ProCloudSM managed service program that comes with a hosted and managed Wi-Fi service offering.

The managed Wi-Fi service is built on ADTRAN’s Bluesocket virtual WLAN platform. ProCloud’s Wi-Fi services enable BYOD and allow customers and guests to connect to the Wi-Fi networks. Channel partners can then sell Wi-Fi services that come with 24x7 monitoring and technical support, including problem resolution and hardware changes, moves, and upgrades.

Partners of ADTRAN can choose between ProCloud or ProCloud Private Label. The ProCloud management model offers the complete turnkey managed service along with guaranteed hardware-replacement times and SLAs, among others. ProCloud Private Label, on the other hand, allows resellers to market the service under their own brand while they use ADTRAN’s ProServices and hosting infrastructure. According to ADTRAN, the ProCloud Private Label lets resellers include a Wi-Fi managed service in their suite of offerings and add a new source of revenue without needing to train and certify staff.

Meanwhile, ProServices covers installation, maintenance, and managed networking. These new professional services from ADTRAN are aimed at end users with limited IT personnel and those with restricted technical capabilities.

“With the addition of ProCloud, partners can deliver best-in-class managed network services, and utilize our powerful ProStart and ProCare programs to ensure the network is installed and maintained for their customers' specific organizational requirements,” said Todd Lattanzi, director of product management for ADTRAN's Enterprise Networks Division. “As a result, businesses spend less time and attention trouble shooting their IT challenges and remain focused on achieving core business goals.” (KOM) Link.
