Keynote - "Current Landscape and Future State of UCaaS" - Clark Peterson, President, Business Solutions Group, Vonage - Pacifica Ballroom |
| |
The migration to Unified Communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS) and the Cloud has been referred to as the biggest technology refresh in communications history. UCaaS is predicted to be a $10 Billion market, growing at over 25% per year over the next five years. This growth is driven by consumers of traditional business telephony adopting cloud-based technology solutions which integrate voice, video, messaging, and presence with other mission critical business applications. These consumers range from SMBs to mid-market companies and large enterprises, and span a broad spectrum of industry verticals.
In this keynote presentation, Clark Peterson, President of Vonage’s Business Solutions Group, will address the current landscape and the future state of UCaaS. He will discuss the forces driving the next wave of cloud communications technology, the benefits of this technology to businesses large and small, and Vonage’s position as a clear leader in cloud communications.

Special Session - Using Workplace Transformation to Energize UC - BCStrategies Expert Joseph Williams & Cisco Partner Manager Myndi Garrett - Pacifica Ballroom |
| |
UC sales are not meeting expectations set in the 2010 launch cycle. Why not? Evidence is that a sales focus on dialtone/PBX/conferencing replacement is not compelling to CIOs, who will not prioritize a UC project that only replaces services that already function adequately. Workplace transformation, which relies on UC to enable the necessary changes, attracts support from business units like sales, HR, compliance, real estate, and recruiting - and results in significantly higher prioritization for UC projects. Suggested approaches are discussed. |

Special Session - The Changing Role of IT and The Shift in Technology Decision-Making - BCStrategies Experts Jon Arnold and Jim Burton |
| |
The days of IT setting the technology agenda for enterprises are over, as the traditional model of capital-intensive spending for long-term assets has been set on its head. Today’s IT environment needs to be agile to keep pace with the ever-changing forms of communications technology. As needs shift from standalone point products to integrated solutions like UC, the decision-making process has become far more collaborative, with value being defined by business outcomes rather than new IT efficiencies. Not only must IT decision-makers be adept at buying the right technology from the right vendor, but also in selling all this internally to management, and ultimately to employees as end users. These realities will be addressed during this session, with a focus on how IT needs to adapt and even reinvent to remain vital in a time of constant change. |
