AI agents are finding security flaws faster than humans can patch them—but the same speed advantage applies to data destruction. Claude Cowork executed Davidov’s misunderstood request in minutes, not hours.

The adoption curve has left safety infrastructure in the dust. Anthropic shipped Claude Cowork with terminal access marketed to “non-developers”—people who’ve never encountered the concept of root-level permissions. The burden of understanding what “organize my desktop” means to an AI agent falls entirely on users who were promised “helpful assistants,” not power tools that can vaporize decades of memories.
